The NFL season is close to the halfway point. It has been an exciting season so far, as we’ve seen so many close games. Teams have climbed and fallen up and down my NFL top 10 power rankings throughout the season. Now, as we head into week 7, let’s take a look at my top 10 power rankings.

#10 Cincinnati Bengals

I truthfully didn’t expect the Bengals to make it on my NFL top 10 power rankings this year. But Joe Burrow has played absolutely phenomenal so far in 2021. Burrow has thrown for 1,540 yards, 14 TDs and 7 INTs. If he can limit turnovers, the Bengals can hang in there with some of the better teams in the NFL. He has gotten the Bengals to 4-2 this season, and has bounced back in a huge way coming off of his torn ACL. The biggest story out of Cincinnati is Ja’Marr Chase though. In the preseason he had issues in dropping passes. We haven’t seen much sign of struggle in the regular season though, as he has 553 yards and 5 TDs, both of which are 4th in the league. The Bengals defense has stepped up in a big way too. This team can be dangerous as long as they’re healthy. This lands them at #10 in my NFL top 10 power rankings.

#9 Dallas Cowboys

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The Cowboys have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL. Dak Prescott has picked up right where he left off before getting injured last year. Ezekiel Elliott has also had a good year, and it seems he had a bigger role in the Dallas offense than he did last year. The Cowboys have multiple weapons as their disposal, and have the ability to turn any play into a homerun. The Dallas defense has taken a big leap from their performances last year. Trevon Diggs has gone absolutely ballistic this year, recording 7 INTs in 6 games. This Cowboys team is looking to stay hot, and seem to be the front runners for the NFC East. Landing them at #9 on my NFL top 10 power rankings.

#8 Cleveland Browns

The Browns have taken a bit of a dive as of late. Baker Mayfield is dealing with a left shoulder issue, which only got worse in the loss to the Cardinals in week 6. Mayfield isn’t at 100% and it shows, which is disappointing. Kareem Hunt is out for a few weeks and as of now Nick Chubb’s availability is in the air. With Hunt being out for some time, the Browns will need Chubb back as soon as possible. Their offense is based around the run and they cannot depend on an injured baker to win games. The Cleveland defense has been surprisingly underwhelming so far this season, they have been allowing a ton of points to top offenses in the league, which is something you look to limit if you want to compete with the top teams.

#7 Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are undergoing a bit of a setback after the blowout loss they endured week 6 after playing the Ravens. Justin Herbert has had himself a great season so far, and his offensive weapons have definitely made his life easier. Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler have all done wonders for that Chargers offense so far this season. They are still a bit raw, as it is only Brandon Staley’s first season as head coach and Herbert’s second year. I am not too worried about the blowout loss, the defense just didn’t bring their A game and the neither did the offense. I sense this game will serve as some kind of wakeup call for the Chargers. They are still the favorites to win their division in my opinion.

#6 Green Bay Packers

The Packers have been HOT as of late. Aaron Rodgers has been Aaron Rodgers, and their entire offense has been clicking. They have been having this amount of success with key players injured. This makes me optimistic for the Pack this season. Once they are all fully back and healthy, this Packers team may be able to make another run deep into the playoffs. Defensively, they have improved. Their secondary has progressed since the beginning of the season, which has helped tremendously. In what seems to be Aaron Rodgers’ last go in Green Bay, can he get them a Super Bowl ring? Oh, and Aaron Rodgers OWNS the entire city of Chicago.

#5 Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have been another team that has been red hot as of late. Their latest victory was a 34-6 win over the Chargers, which puts them at the #5 spot in my NFL top ten power rankings. Lamar Jackson has been playing similarly to how he was in 2019 when he won the MVP. Though it would be difficult to repeat that performance, the Ravens are a contender to represent the AFC in this year’s Super Bowl. Their defense kept the Chargers to just one touchdown, which is something other teams cannot say. Despite not having much depth at skill positions, the Ravens are still a huge threat offensively. Can this year be the year Lamar Jackson gets his Super Bowl appearance?

#4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa looks like they may have found their stride after their win over the Eagles. In eleven days, they lost to the Rams, played the Patriots and played the Eagles. Though they only have lost one game, that being against the Rams, they struggled against the Patriots. They bounced back in a big way after their win over the Eagles on Thursday Night Football. Tom Brady has been playing out of his mind this year despite not necessarily getting all of the media attention. Getting the media’s attention off of them may not be a bad thing, as they have improved every week since their loss. They have one of the best rosters in the NFL and are the returning champs, don’t count Tampa out any time soon.

#3 Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have been another team that has bounced back after a loss. They lost to the Cardinals in week 4 and have since beaten the Seahawks on prime time and the Giants by a wide margin. In a 38-11 Scorigami win over the Giants, the Rams displayed exactly why they had so much hype around them in the off-season. Stafford has been on a roll thus far, and has the ability to toss three or more touchdowns any given game. The Rams’ defense has improved as well, as it seems like their new defensive coordinator is finally starting to get familiar with his guys.

#2 Buffalo Bills

The Bills look like the team to beat in the AFC. Josh Allen has put together a great start to the season, and I have a hard time seeing him slow down. The Bills’ offense looks like it improves weekly, and there are always multiple highlights from them each game. The Buffalo defense has been a big surprise so far, completely shutting down offenses. (They play the Titans tonight, expect editing of the article once that game is finished.

#1 Arizona Cardinals

And landing at #1 on my NFL top 10 power rankings is the only undefeated team left in the NFL, the Cardinals. Arizona has been dominant on both sides of the ball, limiting errors and capitalizing on opportunities. Kyler Murray, in my opinion, is towards the front of the MVP race this season. He has been able to do it all. Their run game has surprisingly been good, as James Connor and Chase Edmonds have relatively split the backfield. Arizona’s wide receiving core has been great as well, each guy in it has made a few big plays. Their defense has remained stout, and has really set the tone for their games. How long do you think Arizona can stay undefeated for?
